The Departed was released in 2006. It is a remake of the Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs. The film stars many famous actors including Matt Damon, MArk Wahlberg, Jack NIcholson, MArtin Sheen and Leonardo Dicaprio. The film takes place in Boston, where Mob boss Francis "Frank" Costello (Nicholson) plants Colin Sullivan (Damon) as an informant within the state police. Simultaneously, the police assign undercover cop Billy Costigan (DiCaprio) to infiltrate Costello's crew. When both sides of the law realize the situation, each man attempts to discover the other's true identity before being found out.
